ABOUT OUR CHURCH PLANTS

Your generosity to our Compassion Church Plants is making a kingdom impact and we are excited to share a few updates with you. Over the last few months, we have continued to work with Compassion on four of our six church plants. Churches in Peru and Ecuador are up and running and one in Tanzania is under construction. We are getting closer to identifying locations for the additional two church plants.

MARCH 2023
After some early delays, construction on the church on Ecuador is now complete. Currently, 150 children participate in the church’s child development program. The church’s vision is to spread the gospel throughout the Amazon region of Ecuador.

ECUADOR CHURCH UPDATE

Tanzania Church Plant

JULY 2023
The classroom module is complete and contains seven rooms. In the most recent update, staff said the worship hall is being painted and walls are being plastered in the kitchen. Workers are close to completing the worship hall, next steps include painting the kitchen and installing kitchen floors. A solid core of 19 adults and 27 children are already attending the church.

Construction Progress + Next Steps | Construction workers have completed the following:

The construction team has cast and waterproofed the cement footings and columns for the kitchen, dining room and bathrooms. They have also started building the retaining walls. Over the next 60 days, workers plan to deliver and install plumbing, complete the retaining walls and begin brickwork on the building’s walls.
