Colin McFarland and Kelly McSparran unpack a few of our staff picks for Bible reading plans – there is something for every season of life. Whether your Bible has been collecting dust or you have been to seminary, you can grow in your faith by learning more from God’s Word.

In addition to just reading the Bible, they offer a variety of reading plans that go through both books of the Bible and topical studies like marriage, parenting, and prayer. This is the perfect place to get started and to have some accountability.

John Piper dives deep in these 4-6 minute episodes. He unpacks a few verses of the Bible each day and the readings aim to feed your joy in Jesus. You can subscribe to this podcast or just ask your smart speaker to play the latest episode if you have a few minutes at home.
4 | NEW MORNING MERCIES by PAUL DAVID TRIPP
This daily devotional by Paul David Tripp is a great addition to a strong cup of coffee in the morning. This daily reminder of the gospel will leave you feeling both encouraged and challenged to trust in God’s goodness, rely on his grace, and live for his glory each and every day.

Streams in the Desert offers a great bookend to your day as it has a morning and evening devotional. You will be encouraged by these short devotions that speak to the soul with the ageless truth of the Word of God. This reading plan will give you insight into God’s character, Scripture to strengthen the daily messages, and hope to encourage a deeper faith walk. While this could be a great reading plan for anyone, we’d recommend it for those feeling weary or overwhelmed by life.
8 | MORNING AND EVENING by Charles SpurgeoN
For over one hundred years, Christians have gotten up and gone to bed with Charles Spurgeon’s devotional Morning and Evening as a companion. In this classic reading plan, Spurgeon will remind you of the importance of abiding in Christ and meditating on God’s Word.
9 | A Year with C.s. Lewis by C.S. LEWIS
